We are forging ahead and working on filing our paper work to become a 501(c)3 publicly supported charity. We will be launching our foundation on the Today Show Plaza in NYC on Monday, June 18th. Tune in to see us!

A friend of mine from college makes the most beautiful yarn. She has created a special color way just for Saoirse, and has teamed up with a friend to develop a fabulous knitting pattern for fingerless mitts. Sales of these, as well as a special kit with both, will benefit our fund. I will post links when the items are available.

About our Fundraising:
Battling two types of cancer at the same time has undoubtedly been a burden emotionally, but one major cause of stress has been the financial burden. Some wonderful friends have created some fundraising events for locals to join in and have some fun while helping us out. We are so greatly appreciative of those efforts, and hope that everyone in attendance has a great time. We have also set up two other places to donate. We have set up a fund for our family at our local bank. Donations can be made to Fitzgerald Cancer Fund and mailed either to our home, or directly to the main branch of our bank (addresses farther down on this page). Currently we are accepting cash and check donations to this fund, and credit card and online donations can be made through the Pay Pal link at the right of this page, and on our facebook "Donation" tab. We have also created a site using FirstGiving through the Ishan Gala Foundation. They have generously given us a grant, and they will be sharing our FirstGiving site with their donors and contacts as well.
